Hi everyone, my name is Dave. I teach all the coruses here at Soul's Light and I am also responsible for all of the metaphysical information and meditations on our site. I also offer personal readings and healings. My certifications include: Reiki master, Usui method of natural healing; Professional Member of the Tarot Guild of Australia; Qualified Numerologist; Certificate Mediumship, Visionary Spiritual Institute of Australia.

I was always one of those kids who was 'the odd one out'. I never took to sports. Instead I enjoyed spending time alone and playing be myself and was always fascinated by the machinations of the universe. I wanted to discover 'why?' The most burning thing for me, even from a young age was 'why do we exist?' Surely it had to have a purpose, there just had to be a reason.

I, funnily enough though, was never interested in mainstream religion. I remember in grade 5 when we had religious education, I asked my mum to write to the school excusing me from the class as I did not believe in what they had to say. The couple from the Salvation Army were nice enough; I just could not digest the message. Instead I spent my time in the library helping out the librarian, Mrs. Juniper. I became quite adept at the nuances of the Dewey decimal system and I read - always non-fiction books, generally on the topic of why and how things worked.

I also always had a great love of nature, I would be in my element off exploring somewhere whilst on holiday with my parents, generally by myself. This love of nature and the environment led to my becoming a Vegan at eighteen years of age.

This drive to know lead me to taking on maths and science subjects at school, so that I might discover some form of order in the chaos of the universe. Science soon came up short and I was again off searching for something.

This led me to humanities and social science subjects. Through this I began to see the order behind social movement, that we were all connected and that we did in fact move in unison. One merely has to look at the actions of a crowd or mob to see this in evidence. Even with this beginning of insight, I still did not have the answers I sought. 

Whilst I was studying Social Sciences at La Trobe University, a strange and wonderful person crossed my path, my wife and life partner Nicki. We met through mutual friends. She began opening my eyes to the paranormal and planted a very small seed in me. One other major thing happened to me at this time also, my best friend and my father both died within a week of each other. Suffice it to say that this tore my life apart and also fundamentally changed my perception. 

After taking time to recover from this life trauma and readjusting my self to my reality, I again started asking the same questions. This eventually led me to the Tarot. I started by teaching myself and then went on to study the Tarot with a professional reader, Anna. She not only opened my eyes to the wonders of these cards, but also opened a door for me that ultimately transformed my life. It is through this process that I began on my current life journey, a journey of discovery of myself and the universe. 

I have been helped in this journey through life. I always have/had supportive parents who let me just be weird. I have a lovely wife who opened my eyes to the paranormal,Anna -  my talented tarot teacher, Helga - an excellent channel, who has helped me connect with my self and my guides and my guides themselves who have pushed me my entire life to be who I am today.

Though I have been on this spiritual journey for over ten years now, this journey of discovery is still only at the beginning in the great scheme of things. I am merely excited and thankful to be able to find out what the next day brings.
